Residency through real estate

Get Panama residency without selling your Bitcoin.

Borrow USD against your BTC, buy qualifying Panama property, and unlock permanent residency under the Qualified Investor Visa ($300K, deadline October 15, 2026) or the Friendly Nations Visa ($200K).

How the BTC-collateral path works

Four steps from BTC holder to Panama resident. No taxable sale, no loss of upside exposure.

1. Pledge BTC as collateral

Use a regulated BTC-backed loan provider. Your Bitcoin stays as collateral and keeps its upside exposure.

2. Receive USD liquidity

Typical loan-to-value of 30–50%. You receive USD without triggering a taxable sale of your BTC.

3. Buy qualifying Panama property

Acquire titled real estate at $200K (Friendly Nations) or $300K (Qualified Investor) minimum, free of liens.

4. File your residency

We coordinate with local counsel to submit your visa application. Permanent immediately under QIV, temporary first under FNV.

Why this works for Bitcoiners

No taxable sale

Keep your cost basis. Borrowing against BTC is not a disposition event in most jurisdictions.

Territorial taxation

Panama taxes only Panama-sourced income. Foreign income, including BTC gains realized later, is not subject to Panamanian income tax.

Family included

Spouse and dependent children (and in some cases dependent parents) are added to your application.

Path to a passport

Eligible to apply for Panamanian citizenship after five years of permanent residency.
